The shift from fear to trust: How birth prep changes everything
Meet Sapir,
your birth educator & mom of two
Before my first birth, I had the same fears so many first-time moms have. I wanted clear answers, not conflicting advice. I wanted to understand what my body was doing, what my options were, and how to walk into birth feeling calm instead of overwhelmed.
So I immersed myself in birth - studying the physiology of labor, preparing my mind and body, and learning everything I could about evidence-based childbirth. My preparation led to an empowering unmedicated hospital birth, followed by a peaceful home birth.
Today, I combine evidence-based birth education, Lamaze-inspired teaching, and mind-body techniques rooted in HypnoBirthing principles to help families replace fear with knowledge, confidence, and trust - so they can approach birth feeling informed, empowered, and ready.

Frequently Asked Questions

My approach combines evidence-based birth education, Lamaze-inspired techniques, and mind-body tools rooted in HypnoBirthing principles. Drawing from Lamaze's 6 Healthy Birth Practices, I help parents understand how to support the natural physiology of labor by encouraging labor to begin on its own when possible, promoting movement and position changes during labor, building a strong support team, making informed decisions about interventions, following the body's natural urges during birth, and fostering early parent-baby bonding after birth. Through professional training, extensive study of birth physiology, and my own experience preparing for both an unmedicated hospital birth and a home birth, I help parents approach birth with greater confidence and clarity.

No. My Body Knows Birth is designed to help you feel informed, confident, and prepared for birth - regardless of your preferences or how your birth unfolds.
You'll learn how labor and birth work, explore common interventions and your available options, and gain practical tools to help you navigate birth with greater confidence and clarity.
Whether you're planning an unmedicated birth, considering an epidural, preparing for an induction, scheduling a cesarean birth, or simply keeping your options open, the goal is the same: to help you make informed decisions and feel empowered throughout your birth experience.
There is no single "right" way to give birth. My goal is to help you understand your choices, trust yourself, and approach birth feeling prepared for whatever path your journey takes.
-
I don't believe birth preparation should be one-size-fits-all. My approach blends evidence-based education, practical tools, and mind-body techniques to help you understand your options, prepare for the unexpected, and approach birth with confidence and trust in yourself.
Because if there's one message I hope every parent carries into birth, it's this:
My body knows birth.
-
Whether you're newly pregnant or just weeks away from meeting your baby, it's never too early (or too late) to prepare for birth.
The earlier you begin, the more time you'll have to build knowledge, explore your options, and develop practical tools to support you throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth. But even if you're approaching your due date, a personalized session can help you better understand what to expect, feel more confident in your decisions, and prepare for the scenarios you may encounter during labor.
No matter where you are in your pregnancy, birth education can help replace fear and uncertainty with knowledge, confidence, and trust in your body.
Because the more you understand birth, the more prepared you'll feel for the journey ahead.

My approach blends evidence-based birth education, practical preparation tools, and mind-body techniques inspired by Lamaze and HypnoBirthing principles. Whether you're looking for comprehensive birth preparation or guidance on a specific topic, our time together will be tailored to your needs.

Absolutely. Birth is a team effort, and partners play an important role in supporting a positive birth experience. Partners and/or a support person are welcome and encouraged to attend.
During our session, you'll both learn practical tools, comfort measures, communication strategies, and ways to navigate labor with greater confidence. My goal is to help you feel prepared - not just as an individual, but as a team.
Your body already knows birth. Let’s prepare for the rest.
Bring your questions and leave with a plan, coping tools, and trust in what your body can do.
