Meet Sapir, your birth educator + mom of two.
When I was pregnant with my first baby, I quickly realized how overwhelming birth preparation could feel. As someone with a strong analytical background, I’ve always felt most confident when I understand what to expect and how to prepare. But as a first-time mom, I found myself asking the same questions so many women ask:
How does labor actually work? How do I prepare? What are my options? How can I feel calm, confident, and in control?
I immersed myself in learning everything I could. I studied the physiology of labor and birth, listened to countless birth podcasts, took prenatal yoga classes, and sought guidance from doulas and educators until I felt truly prepared.
That preparation changed everything.
I had an empowering unmedicated hospital birth with my first baby, followed by the peaceful home birth I had always dreamed of with my second.
But I also saw many women around me have a very different experience. They entered birth feeling underprepared, unsupported, and blindsided by decisions they never expected to face.
My approach combines evidence-based birth education, Lamaze-inspired techniques, and mind-body tools rooted in HypnoBirthing principles to help you feel informed, confident, and prepared for birth.
My goal is to help you replace fear and uncertainty with knowledge, confidence, and trust in your body. That’s why I created My Body Knows Birth.
If there is one message I hope every mother carries with her, it is this:
My body knows birth.
Welcome - I’m so glad you’re here. Ready to prepare for birth with confidence?
My Body Knows Birth Approach
Mind + Body + Evidence
Birth prep should support all of you.
Most birth education focuses on just one piece of the puzzle. Some teach the evidence but leave you feeling overwhelmed. Others teach relaxation but leave you unsure of your options.
My approach brings mind, body & evidence together so you can feel informed, calm, and confident as you prepare for your beautiful birth.
Mind
Learn practical techniques inspired by HypnoBirthing to help you manage fear, stay present, and approach labor with confidence.
Body
Understand how your body works during labor and learn comfort measures, movement, breathing, and coping techniques that support your dream birth experience.
Evidence
Cut through the noise and understand your options, common interventions, and the evidence behind them so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
The Goal
Not to memorize every possible scenario.
Not to create the perfect birth plan.
To walk into birth feeling prepared, informed, and confident in your ability to navigate whatever unfolds.

My approach combines evidence-based birth education, Lamaze-inspired techniques, and mind-body tools rooted in HypnoBirthing principles. Drawing from Lamaze's 6 Healthy Birth Practices, I help parents understand how to support the natural physiology of labor by encouraging labor to begin on its own when possible, promoting movement and position changes during labor, building a strong support team, making informed decisions about interventions, following the body's natural urges during birth, and fostering early parent-baby bonding after birth. Through professional training, extensive study of birth physiology, and my own experience preparing for both an unmedicated hospital birth and a home birth, I help parents approach birth with greater confidence and clarity.

Whether you're planning an unmedicated birth, considering an epidural, preparing for an induction, scheduling a cesarean birth, or simply keeping your options open, the goal is the same: to help you make informed decisions and feel empowered throughout your birth experience.

I don't believe birth preparation should be one-size-fits-all. My approach blends evidence-based education, practical tools, and mind-body techniques to help you understand your options, prepare for the unexpected, and approach birth with confidence and trust in yourself.
Because if there's one message I hope every parent carries into birth, it's this:
My body knows birth.

Whether you're newly pregnant or just weeks away from meeting your baby, it's never too early (or too late) to prepare for birth.
The earlier you begin, the more time you'll have to build knowledge, explore your options, and develop practical tools to support you throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth. But even if you're approaching your due date, a personalized session can help you better understand what to expect, feel more confident in your decisions, and prepare for the scenarios you may encounter during labor.
No matter where you are in your pregnancy, birth education can help replace fear and uncertainty with knowledge, confidence, and trust in your body.
Because the more you understand birth, the more prepared you'll feel for the journey ahead.
